That's completely okay. You are exactly who this site is for.

The Bible was written for ordinary people — farmers, fishermen, tax collectors, and kings. It was never meant to be confusing.

Here is where to start:

Step 1 — Read the Gospel of John

The Gospel of John tells the story of Jesus in clear, simple language. Start here.

Step 2 — Understand the Two Testaments

Old Testament: God’s covenant with the nation of Israel — the foundation.
New Testament: The life, teachings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Step 3 — Remember the Core Message

Jesus summarised the entire Bible in two commandments:
1. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
2. Love your neighbour as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-39)

Step 4 — Accept the Invitation

Jesus says in Revelation 3:20:
“Here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.”

You don’t have to have all the answers. Just open the door.
